So Last Year, When I Had Cancer…
I think a lot of people rethink their lives when they receive a cancer diagnosis.
Am I living my life fully? Am I living in alignment with my values and who I am?
And heck yeah, I’m ringing in 2023 CANCER FREE!
One thing I decided in this cancer-inspired inventory of my life is that I LOVE MY WORK.
I just friggin’ love it.
Oftentimes, training in Motivational Interviewing doesn’t even feel like work. When I am training with a group, in my flow, learning from participants, pulling together concepts, sharing stories, facilitating practice, I feel such joy.
It is totally where I feel my flow state.
Thank you for being a part of the joy that I feel! Thank you for learning with me!
Thank you for following me and supporting my small woman-owned business! We love training in Motivational Interviewing!
I know I am not alone in the fear that a cancer journey brings. Life disrupted, interrupted, priorities shifted, work ideas put on hold, overwhelming fatigue, hours and hours in doctors’ offices and waiting on results and scans…
When I was driving back from Johns Hopkins with my sis (Cancer Warrior Buddy!) quite despondent, where rather than enrolling in a non-surgical clinical trial I was told that the cancer had in fact metastasized and I was facing an even bigger surgery, I heard a voice that said, “Well Hillary, NOW you will feel just how supported you are.”
And I sure have felt supported! My family, friends and community have been AMAZING. One gift this has given me is the chance to feel that support, and to be so fully grateful for it.
Chances are, you or someone you love has walked the cancer journey.
As I have walked it, I have also watched those not make it, and have felt the bitter fragility and magic of life.
Tell me if you have walked the cancer journey. I’m interested in your story. Reply to this email and tell me if you have struggled with cancer, or supported a loved one through the journey. Tell me if you have lost a loved one to cancer. Let’s support one another!
Did you know that January is Cancer Awareness Month?
In honor of this, and to celebrate my CANCER FREE scan, I am offering 10% off ALL courses for the month of January. Use coupon code FCANCER at checkout! We offer all levels of training in Motivational Interviewing. Check it out here!
